We believe in God, the Father, who through his Son and his Holy Spirit created all things.
We believe in God's son, Jesus of Nazareth, who was born of a virgin; lived on earth and ministered by word and miracles; was arrested and killed by crucifixion; whom they buried, who rose on the third day; who ascended into heaven, who is seated at the right hand of God; who will return for those who obey and follow him. This Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah of Israel, the Christ, the Savior of those who accept Him and who turn their lives over to Him.
We believe in the Holy Spirit of God, whom Jesus sent as Comforter after He ascended back to His Father. We believe that Holy Spirit is a gift to believers, who gives gifts from God's grace to the body for its blessing and benefit. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit live in those who accept them and invite them into themselves to live.
We believe that Jesus, the Messiah, reigns in us, only as we enthrone Him in our hearts.
We believe that Jesus saves those who turn to him, and that he adds them to His body. We believe that each Christian is thus a "body part" - a functioning part of the body of Jesus, Messiah. It is in this body that we serve Him, and we serve and benefit each other. Acting individually or in concert with other disciples, we serve others and tell them the good news (gospel) about Jesus, Messiah, and the salvation He offers. It is also in this body that His disciples jointly share everything and anything they have and they are with others. This is fellowship.
We believe that those who accept Him will be immersed into Him, just as first century disciples did.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, and that the godly will be saved to live forever with God in a place Jesus is now preparing, and that the ungodly will be forever lost.
We believe the Bible to be the infallible, authoritative word of God, and to be our guide for our faith and for living.
Disciples Fellowship
encompasses only a part of the body of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is not a denomination, not a part of any denomination, nor a creation by or from any denomination, Christian or otherwise, which might already be in existence.Disciples Fellowship
has no exclusive membership. All believers, who are followers of Jesus Christ are welcome, and are invited to join in this fellowship.Disciples Fellowship
exists as a church under the protection of the Constitution of the United States of America, not created by statute of the United States of America, nor by any of the individual united states.Disciples Fellowship
believes in taking the good news about Him to all those who are not saved, and in edifying the body of Jesus, the Son of God. From time to time,Disciples Fellowship
engages in various and diverse activities (or ministries) designed to promote the cause of Jesus Christ. These may take the form of personal conversations with others, teaching via personal means, or by mass communications media, or individual services done in the name of Jesus Christ for others who are in need.Disciples Fellowship
is a "church" in the sense of Jesus' meaning in Matthew 16:18, when he said,"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
In the original language Jesus spoke (Greek or Aramaic), he said that he would "build up his
ekklesia." Ekklesia more accurately translated into today's American English language would be
assembly, or gathering. The group that Jesus died to build up was simply his disciples - his
followers who longed to learn from him and of him.
Disciples Fellowship
The principal purpose of Disciples Fellowship is to point others to Jesus, the Messiah, and to
encourage all to keep their attention on Him, and not to be distracted by the many deceptive
devices of Satan.
